On September 30th every year, we wear our orange shirts and honor the Children who never returned home, for the survivors who attended residential schools and those who were effected generationally.

At the Sncewips Heritage Museum we remain open on this day and showcase Art exhibits made by the syilx community in relation to thid historic event that occurred.

For the year 2024, we had community create altered books, with themes of how they are effected and what does truth and reconciliation mean to them. This showcase remains open and accessible to view along with video interviews by the members who created and shared their experiences.
